Only in Washington or any other rainy place would they consider blackberries weeds. They grow EVERYWHERE here, on the side of the road, in people's yards, you name it, blackberries can grow there. So on a day that Josh had off we went to one of our favorite little lakes in Lakewood, imagine that, and picked blackberries. The kids sure had fun, especially little Noah, who ate a blackberry for every one that he picked. We ended making a delicious blackberry crisp. Mmmmmmmhhhhmmmmm! Take that dad! I'm gonna rub Washington in your face for the whole month that's it nicer here than it is in California. :)
Just look at that face!
And this one, silly girl.
And this handsome mug.
It was actually really hard to get all of those.
Thank you August, the only month where the sun shines in Washington.
